Chicken recipes are easy to make and cook. Chicken tikka is full of flavours as the spices we used in this recipe are garam masala, yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, and lemon juice etc.
INGREDIENTS:
Chicken pieces 4-5 pieces
Yoghurt (Dahi) 1 cup
Garam masala powder 1 tablespoon
Chaat masala 1/2 tablespoon
Salt 1 tablespoon or as per taste
Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tablespoon
Oil 1/2 cup
Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Chilli flakes 1 teaspoon or as per taste
Cumin(Zeera) powder 1 teaspoon
Coriander seed powder 1 teaspoon
DIRECTION:
STEP 1: Marinate Chicken
1. Mark 3-4 cuts on chicken pieces using a knife.
2. Take a bowl, add yoghurt, ginger-garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chilli flakes, cumin(zeera) powder, coriander seed powder, garam masala, and chaat masala in the bowl. Mix the spices very well.
3. Add the chicken pieces and mix well.
4. Now add 1 tablespoon of oil and lemon juice and mix well.
5. Marinate the chicken pieces for 3-4 hours or as much you can.
STEP 2: Fry or bake the chicken pieces
6. After 3-4 hours take a frying pan, add oil and fry the pieces until it turns golden brown.
7. If want to bake then add 2-3 tablespoon of oil during marination.
8. Pre-heat the oven and bake at 180C for 30-35 minutes.
9. If you want to fry, add 1 cup of oil to the frying pan and let it to hot.
10. Add the marinated chicken legs, and fry it medium to low flame.
11. After 2-3 minutes, turn the side of the legs or chicken pieces.
12. Remove the chicken pieces, and fry others.
13. Again add the fried chicken pieces and fry them for 3-5 minutes.
14. Turn it golden brown and then remove on and dish it out.
Serve and enjoy the delicious chicken tikka with Dahi chutney
TIPS:
1. There is salt in the chat masala so add less amount of salt.
2. Give more time to the marination as it will be tastier.
