Dip sauce or chutney is used with many meals and fast food to add flavours and taste. Even dip sauce can be taken with roti. There are so many dipping sauces recipes like Dahi chutney, tomato dipping sauce, and tomato ketchup etc. Mint yoghurt dipping sauce is a flavoured yoghurt with minimum spices. Let's make dahi chutney or curd mint chutney or mint yoghurt dipping sauce.
INGREDIENTS:
Yoghurt (Dahi) 250grams or 1 and 1/2 cups
Green coriander 1/2 cup
Mint leaves 1/3 cup or 8-9 medium-size leaves
Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon
Garlic 1/2 clove or 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste
Green chilli 1 medium size
Salt 1/2 teaspoon or as per taste
DIRECTIONS:
1. Take green coriander and mint leaves and wash it properly.
2. Take mortar and pestle and add green chilli, green coriander, mint, garlic and ginger in it.
3. Make the fine paste.
4. Take the bowl and add the yoghurt and mash it so that no lumps left.
5. Add the paste that is made in step 3.
6. Add the salt, mix well the paste and yoghurt.
7. Dish out the dipping sauce.
Serve and enjoy delicious dahi chutney with chicken tikka or Pakora.
TIPS:
1. Grinder can be used instead of mortar and pestle but the taste and flavours will be much better with mortar and pestle.
2. Green chilli can be less or more added as it depends upon the chilli that it is spicier or not.
3. Ginger and garlic should be used in very little amount.
