Palak is also known as Spanish. Pakora is the deep-fried snack and the tasty fritters. Different types of pakoras are made like aloo pakora, mix veg pakora, chicken pakora, and palak pakora. This recipe is for who want palak pakora without onion and garlic. Let starts how to make palak pakora.
INGREDIENTS:
Palak (Spanish) 1and 1/2 cups
Green coriander (optional) 1/2 cup
Tomato 1 medium size
Green Chilli 1 medium size
Gram flour(besan) 250 grams
Salt 1 tablespoon or as per taste
Chilli flakes 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Chaat masala(optional) 1 teaspoon
Turmeric(Haldi) 1/2 teaspoon
Water 1 cup
Oil 2 cups
DIRECTION:
1. Cut the palak leave into pieces in the bowl.
2. Chop the green chilli, tomato, and green coriander.
3. Add all the spices in it according to your taste.
4. Add the half of the besan and mix it well.
5. Add the water gradually and mix it well with the mixture.
6. Add the besan and more water if it is needed.
7. The batter should be medium consistency I mean to say that should not be droppy and thick.
8. Take the pan and add the oil in it.
9. When the oil is medium heated, add 1 teaspoon full of pakora batter in it.
10. Turn over the side of pakora when one side turns golden brown.
11. Take off the fritters(pakora) with a slotted spoon or deep fryer spoon when both sides turn golden0 brown.
12. Cook all the batter by the same method.
Serve and enjoy delicious palak pakora with tomato ketchup or Dahi chutney.
TIPS:
1. At the start batter should little thick as palak and onion release some water.
2. To check if the oil is hot or not, at first add only one teaspoon of batter. If the batter does not stick to the bottom of the pan it means oil is hot.
3. Do not hot too much the oil.
4. Flame should be at medium speed.
